VERO BEACH – If you have a female cat who needs to be spayed, the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County (HSVB) will be sterilizing up to forty female cats for $1 on Monday, November 20.
Cats must belong to Indian River County residents and have a reservation at the shelter’s Animal Wellness Clinic by Friday, November 17 by calling (772) 388-0801. Appointments are taken on a first come, first serve basis.
Kittens must be at least two months of age and weigh two pounds. All cats and kittens need to be transported to the clinic in a sturdy carrier.
Felines four months of age and older must have a current rabies vaccination. If no proof of current vaccination is available, HSVB will administer a vaccine for an additional $12.
This event is made possible thanks to a grant from the Florida Animal Friend License Plate program and generous donors.
HSVB is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping and protecting the animals of Indian River County.
The Humane Society is located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach.
