Over the Easter weekend, a tragic motorcycle accident resulted in the death of Mari Parsons, a lawyer from the Sebastian area, and left her husband, Stan Brosko Sr., with severe injuries, according to law enforcement and fire rescue authorities.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the trike motorcycle accident that occurred around 7 p.m. on Easter Sunday near Mari Parsons’ residence.
Mari Parsons, aged 62, was transported to Sebastian River Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries. Stan Brosko Sr., her husband, was airlifted to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne and is still in critical condition as of Friday.
Sebastian Police were the first responders at the crash scene. Property records indicate that Parsons owned a home off South Wimbrow Drive.
Mari Parsons had been practicing civil litigation since 1986, with her most recent professional engagements including positions at the Sebastian firm VanDeVoorde Hall Law, P.L., and the Washington Street office of defense attorney Nicole M. Cotton, P.A., as confirmed by the Florida Bar and online records.

A visitation for Mari Parsons will be held on April 11, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 5055 Micco Road, Barefoot Bay, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on April 12 at 11 a.m. at the same church. Strunk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Sebastian, is handling the arrangements.
