Sebastian Council Needs a Person with A Good Character, Not Just a Character

Letters to the Editor in Sebastian, Florida.

Dear Sebastian Daily Editors:

Damien Gilliams is a man who loudly proclaims his many ideas; unfortunately, after dealing with him over the past 2 years concerning the Sebastian Property Owners Association, I can assure the voters that:

  1. Many of the ideas he claims that are his were actually originated with other people.
  2. Many of his goals are so overblown and poorly thought out that they are simply not achievable when reviewed by someone with a working brain.
  3. He is sadly incapable of understanding and following the association’s By-Laws (e.g., there was no lawfully appointed Nominating Committee involved in 2019 election planning).
  4. By a loud proclamation of “Executive Decision” he demanded that the formal minutes of the SPOA meeting in April be falsified to suit his desire to work with Sir Richard Branson on the dreaded train.

This caused my husband and I to resign after 5 years of active membership in the association.

The fine City of Sebastian does not need slick and superficial, it needs substantial and solid. Vote for McPartland, Kinchen, Iovino to ensure Sebastian retains its integrity.
