A 12-year-old was hit by lightning at the Sebastian Inlet on Monday, as confirmed by emergency management authorities.
The National Weather Service identified a lightning strike at Sebastian Inlet State Park at approximately 5:45 p.m.
Paramedics were immediately dispatched, and the child was promptly taken to the hospital. The juvenile is in stable condition, authorities said.
