While the news is encouraging that new coronavirus cases has dropped, it’s still only a 2-day trend and we’re not out of the woods yet.
It’s important, and we emphasize this, that it’s still too early to draw an overall conclusion. We ask everyone to follow the CDC guidelines until the trend stabilizes.
“All this distancing and closures has to be helping,” Pete Anderson, owner of Pareidolia Brewing Co., told Sebastian Daily.
There are still 4 confirmed coronavirus cases in Sebastian, Florida. Fellsmere, Grant, Micco, and Barefoot Bay have no cases at this time. Malabar, north of Grant, now has 1 confirmed case.
There are 55 cases in Indian River County, Florida. 6 patients are non-residents.
The Indian River County patients are 33 men and 22 women between the ages of 8 to 84. There are 13 people hospitalized, and no deaths.
About 566 people tested negative in Indian River County.

So far, the new cases in Florida peaked on Thursday and Friday. If the numbers for 4/5 are accurate, this is very encouraging.

Sebastian
All County-operated playgrounds, along with those operated by the cities of Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Fellsmere, will be closed effective 8:00 a.m. Monday until further notice. However, all parks and conservation areas will remain open, as well as restroom facilities located at those parks and conservation areas.
Cleveland Clinic, Indian River Hospital, is providing drive-through testing by appointments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. To make an appointment, call the hospital at 772-226-4846.
