As local and state health officials decide how to roll out a new limited supply of COVID-19 vaccinations, the number of positive tests in Florida are still rising sharply.
In Sebastian, the number of people testing positive jumped 74 during the past 10 days, averaging about 7 per day.
It is clear that Sebastian never had a “superspreader” from 2 recent events that outside news organizations predicted or condemned. Most people did wear a mask, and others practiced social distancing.
While the Florida numbers are high, Sebastian is doing far better than other cities like Vero Beach or Miami.
There have been 9 COVID-19 related deaths during the past 10 days in Indian River County. There have been 30 COVID-19 related deaths in Brevard County during the past 10 days.
Please follow the CDC guidelines. You can still live your life and be safe.
