The Veterans Council of Indian River County (VCIRC) is hosting a commemorative event on December 7, 2023, at 7:45 am to honor the 82nd anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. This free program will be held at the Heritage Center in Vero Beach.
The event is a platform for community members to reflect on this historic day and remember the sacrifices of those involved.
A panel of veterans and historians will speak at the event, sharing insights and personal experiences related to Pearl Harbor. The Veterans Council of IRC aims to keep the memory of this day and the bravery of World War II servicemen and women alive in public consciousness.
The community is encouraged to attend this tribute to American history and an opportunity to express gratitude for the veterans’ sacrifices.
The VCIRC, a United Way of Indian River partner agency, dedicates itself to assisting veterans and their families in the county. They emphasize the importance of recognizing veterans’ needs and their societal contributions.
