There has been an increase in auto burglaries in Sebastian and the surrounding areas, according to the Sebastian Police Department.
They are asking Sebastian residents to make sure to keep your vehicles locked at all times. In several of these burglaries, the thieves were looking for car keys or key fobs to steal the cars.
Tips to remember:

- Close all windows
- Remove visible items
- Park in a safe & well-lit area
- Take your keys inside with you
