Photos: Sebastian Celebrates Earth Day With Live Music, Environment Research, Arts, and Activities

Earth Day celebration at Riverview Park in Sebastian, Florida.

The annual Sebastian Earth Day celebration was held last Saturday at Riverview Park. The turnout was relatively high, and there were a lot of families that participated.

Sebastian Daily was present and donated four tickets for the River King cruise as the grand prize. Also present were a couple of food trucks serving cajun food and ice cream. The chicken nachos were incredible!

Mash Monkeys Brewery and the Pareidolia Brewing Company had booths set up. At Pareidolia, people were “paying it forward” for nearly two hours. It meant that someone paid for the next person’s beer, and then that person paid for the next patron.

Some of the booths were the City of Sebastian Natural Resources Board, Wild Florida Rescue, Environmental Learning Center, Marine Resources Council, Sea Turtle Conservation Program, Sea & Shoreline Indian River County Conservation, Brevard Zoo, Keep Indian River Beautiful, Indian River Neighborhood Association, Treasure Coast Community Health, and many others.

Some of the vendor booths included Treasure Coast Sweets, Art Minded, County Wide Botanicals, Creations by Purple Rose, Gracious Tea, Country Kettler Corn, Native Butterfly Flowers, The Sebastian River Art Club, and the Indian River Bee Company.

It was a beautiful day with no rain, but some of the booth vendors had to leave because of the 20 mph wind gusts.
