Friendship Christian Community Church Makes Sunrise Service Possible

Friendship Christian Community Church will have a unique Sunrise Service. Dr. Ron Thomas, who has been the pastor at Friendship Christian Community, in Sebastian, for the last 12 years, has come up with a unique way to have Sunrise Service.

“Sadly, under this viral pall, the local churches have decided to cancel our traditional Easter community service at the Park (which, as a common gathering is understandable). And the city has closed all public spaces to any community events other than boating,” Paster Ron Thomas told Sebastian Daily.

But, Paster Ron is determined to make Sunrise Service Happen!

“However, I believe that we at FCC have come up with a viable plan to salvage the traditional sunrise experience safely! Individuals and family units may park at our church facility located at the corner of US 1 & Schumann Drive (611 Schumann) and share in the celebration of the resurrection together from the safety of their own vehicle, Paster Ron Thomas stated.

“This is an innovation which has been successfully used elsewhere but is an example of a faithful people “thinking outside the box” to spread the joy of Easter’s message of new life in our community, which has been dragged down with the infectious fear of COVID 19,” Thomas added.

Parking opens at 6:30 am, and the service will begin at 7:00 am. Parking will be strictly limited, and once on the property, you may not leave your car.
