The Sebastian community is coming together to support Councilman Fred Jones and his family after a motorcycle accident involving their son, Freddy.
He is scheduled to undergo his fifth surgery since the accident occurred last week.
To show their support, American Legion Post 189 is inviting the public to visit their post at 807 Louisiana Avenue and sign a get-well card for Freddy.
George C. Von Kantor of the American Legion told Sebastian Daily that the Legion is accepting donations to assist the family during this difficult time.
Donations can be placed in the collection jar located in the Post Canteen or the Outpost Building Canteen. Checks can be made payable to The American Legion Post 189 with “Jones Family” noted in the memo line.
Stop by the American Legion anytime after 12 p.m. to help the Jones family.
