Our Community does a great job helping families who are less fortunate through the holiday season, with turkey drives, Christmas in July, Shop With A Cop, and many other events.
But what about all of the seniors in our Community? We do live in the capital of Senior Assisted Living Facilities. Sadly, many seniors live in these facilities, who do not have families.
So, a few local small businesses got together to make a difference for them and bring smiles to their faces.
“We want to make a change and put a smile on Seniors’ faces, so that is why we started Christmas for Seniors,” Tinamarie Ioffredo of DJshhop Entertainment, told Sebastian Daily.
“Between all of us, we can make a change in our Community! Let’s use our businesses to influence and make a change, Ioffredo added.
The small local businesses that made all of this possible were Itransit, DJshhop Entertainment, Family Moving and Storage, and Moe’s Deli. They are hoping that next year, they have even more businesses join them in their efforts.
The facility they visited this year was in Vero Beach. However, they are not allowed to give out the name of the location.
